Do not trust hype alone
Labels such as “best,” “must buy,” or “popular” do not explain why an item belongs on your shortlist. A useful row names the category correctly and gives you details you can compare.
Photos should answer questions
Good QC photos are useful because they show details relevant to the exact product type. They should help you inspect shape, construction, finish, measurements, or included parts. A large gallery is not automatically useful if it avoids the details that matter.
Confirm that quality check photos belong to the same item, option, and time period as the row you are reading.
Sizing matters more than popularity
A frequently shared row can still be wrong for your measurements. Use item-specific dimensions when possible and check how they were taken. Generic size letters are a weak guide for fit-sensitive categories.
Price needs context
A low number does not reveal material, construction, included options, condition, packaging, or shipping. Compare similar rows and ask what explains the difference before treating price as value.
Shipping weight changes the real decision
A row can look attractive until packed weight or bulk is included. Check heavier categories earlier and keep calculator results as estimates, not commitments.

Open links in a new tab, inspect the hostname, compare the current page with the spreadsheet row, and use the official support and policy pages of the service involved. Converted links or copied descriptions can lose context.
Red flags worth removing
- A vague title with no category or useful detail.
- Photos that appear unrelated to the selected option.
- No measurements where fit or scale matters.
- A price claim with no comparable row or visible context.
- A source link that no longer matches the description.
- Pressure to act quickly before checking the current page.
- Promises about quality, refunds, shipping, or safety with nothing to support them.
